Dental implants are man made “tooth root” made of biocompatible Titanium alloy that becomes directly attached to the jawbone termed as “osseointegration”. Once anchored in place, it is used to form a secure foundation for tooth replacement. They can be used to replace a single missing tooth, multiple missing teeth, support an entire set of teeth or retain an overdenture. The result is a natural type of tooth replacement that can restore the biting and chewing ability you once enjoyed, improve your appearance and renew your self-confidence.

• Placement of dental implants is a minor surgical procedure performed under Local Anesthesia.
• The first stage is the surgical procedure in which the implants are inserted and placed into the prepared site of the jawbone along with a few stitches.
• There is usually a healing period of 3 – 4 months. In the meantime, you can continue using your present denture.
• The second stage is the uncovery, in which just the top part of the implant is uncovered to take impressions for the fabrication of replacement teeth / denture.
• A week or two later, the crown or denture is fitted to the implants and you are ready to use them.
