Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a surgical specialty which treats conditions, defects, injuries and aesthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, jaws, and face.

Oral and maxillofacial surgeons care for patients who have problem wisdom teeth, tumours and cysts of the jaws, facial pain, misaligned jaws, accident victims suffering from facial injuries, as well as provide reconstructive and dental implant surgery.

Minor Oral Surgery for Wisdom Teeth

Due to lack of space in the jaws, the wisdom teeth (the last to erupt in the mouth), may not have enough room to erupt into their proper position. They may remain embedded within the jawbone and may become the cause for recurrent infections. They are known as Impacted teeth.

Minor Oral Surgical procedure is performed for their removal under either Local or General Anesthesia.
